Job Summary Core Group Resources is hiring an experienced Dock Foreman for night shift at a marine repair shipyard in Charleston, MO. You'll lead a crew of welder/fitters repairing towboats and barges. This role suits a hands-on leader who knows boat and barge repair inside and out and can keep a night crew safe, productive, and on schedule. Responsibilities Lead and assign work to night shift welder/fitters and dock crewAssess hull, deck, and structural damage on barges and towboats and plan repairsRead drawings and repair specs and lay out steel replacement workCheck fit-up and weld quality and sign off on completed repairsRun the yard crane when needed to move steel and equipmentEnforce hot-work, confined-space, and general yard safety proceduresCoordinate shift handoff with day shift supervision Requirements Marine repair experience with a working knowledge of how to repair boats and bargesPrior lead or foreman experience in a shipyard or marine fabrication settingStrong welding and fitting backgroundAble to read blueprints and repair specificationsWilling to work night shift Preferred Requirements Crane operation experienceInland river shipyard experienceOSHA 10 or 30
