Dock Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize workflow to enhance efficient loading processes.
• Assist in resolving obstacles such as locating pallets, picking pallets, and addressing trailer issues.
• Operate safely, adhering to all company safety guidelines.
• Conduct weekly load audits for quality and accuracy.
• Ensure all pallets of all commodities are staged for loading.
• Investigate missing or mishandled pallets and assist in customer service inquiries.
• Prepare and verify paperwork for proper trailer positioning.
• Load products on trailers in the correct sequence, ensuring even weight distribution and compliance with weight standards.
• Achieve leave times for all outbound loads.
• Manage workflow for all docks and assist the shipping specialist.
• Participate in audits for accuracy and quality of customer orders.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as needed.
• Display excellent self-motivation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2-5 years of progressive distribution experience.
• Experience as a loader (checker) for 2-5 years.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate honestly and respectfully with all employees and carriers.
• Prior truck loading experience preferred.
• Mainframe, Triceps, and PowerYard operational experience preferred.
• Ability to recognize, report, and mitigate improper loading techniques.
