Science Education

Leveraging the natural curiosity and creativity of elementary school-aged children, we bring engaging science lessons to under-served classrooms once a month. Volunteer groups of engineers and scientists (1 adult per 8 children) work with small groups of students during the school day to go through fun, hands-on experiments.

• Experiments draw on children's everyday experiences to show them that science is all around them and is fun.

Volunteer Support

All volunteers are supported with an SiE Educator who leads each lesson, as well as 2-3 other volunteers. Volunteers will learn, experience joy, and make a difference in the lives of some amazing students.

Time Commitment

The time commitment is less than two hours a month.
