DNS Engineer Hybrid role

Location: Wayne, PA / Plano, TX / Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite: Tuesday, Thursday)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DNS Engineer to support and enhance enterprise DNS infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DNS platform administration, automation, resiliency, and security, with hands-on experience managing large-scale enterprise DNS services and driving modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise DNS platforms, with a preference for BlueCat DNS solutions.
• Support DNS zone administration, record management, and lifecycle operations.
• Design and implement DNS automation using scripting, APIs, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
• Integrate DNS services with cloud platforms and modern infrastructure technologies.
• Ensure high availability, stability, and resiliency of DNS services.
• Implement DNS security best practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex DNS-related issues across enterprise environments.
• Drive operational improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in DNS engineering and enterprise network infrastructure support.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise DNS platforms, preferably BlueCat.
• Experience managing DNS zones, records, and lifecycle processes in hybrid environments.
• Proficiency with automation tools, scripting, APIs, and IaC technologies.
• Experience integrating DNS services with public cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of DNS security, vulnerability management, and high-availability architectures.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-native networking services.
• Familiarity with DNS monitoring, reporting, and performance optimization.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
