DMV Operations Specialist

What To Expect

The DMV Operations Specialist is part of the Delivery Operations team and works with Tesla departments and external parties to handle vehicle registration transactions and purchase paperwork, including customer purchases.

What You'll Do

• Coincides with Sales and Delivery Specialists to ensure that all necessary documents for the transaction are complete and accurate
• Handles DMV registrations related to sales, as well as for Tesla-owned vehicles
• Records information and ensures data quality in multiple record keeping systems including but not limited to WDO and Online Registration Systems
• Serves as an authority on vehicle tax and registration rules by geography, staying informed of changes and communicating them to the team promptly
• Participates in testing of new and updated forms and processes
• Aids with special projects as needed

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• DMV experience preferred but not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
• Ability to work independently and think creatively with a proven track record of execution
• Ability to adapt to frequent change and have attention to detail under tight deadlines
• Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including weekends, according to activity volume
• Experience working across multiple systems; experience with Dealertrack or DLRDMV is a plus
