DMT Regional Coordinator

Role Description

The DMT Regional Coordinator is a full-time, remote role based in Florida. This role coordinates Disaster Management Team (DMT) activities within the assigned region, including planning, implementing, and monitoring disaster response and preparedness initiatives. The coordinator organizes volunteer teams, schedules trainings, and supports deployment logistics for emergency and relief operations.

• Liaises with local partners and community organizations
• Maintains regional response plans
• Tracks program data and reports
• Ensures compliance with IRUSA policies and safety protocols
• Collaborates closely with national DMT leadership
• Supports public outreach and awareness efforts
• Contributes to continuous improvement of regional disaster response capacity

Qualifications

• Experience in disaster response, emergency management, or humanitarian relief, with the ability to coordinate regional activities and support field operations
• Strong organizational and planning skills, including managing schedules, logistics, documentation, and multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with volunteers, community partners, and internal teams
• Proficiency with standard office software and digital collaboration tools; ability to maintain reports, databases, and program records accurately
• Experience working in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site responsibilities in Baltimore, MD with remote tasks
• Experience in volunteer management or community outreach is highly beneficial
• Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, social services, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Demonstrated commitment to IRUSA’s humanitarian mission and principles, with cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse communities
