DMS Technician I

About the role

The Ductless Mini Split (DMS) Technician I is responsible for proficiently installing DMS and related technology in customer’s homes while ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Installation of Ductless Mini Split Systems:
  • Measure and assess installation sites for ductless mini split units.
  • Install outdoor compressor/condenser units and indoor air-handling units following manufacturer guidelines and technical specifications.
  • Connect refrigerant lines, power cables, and condensate drains ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
  • Verify system operation and perform initial testing to confirm performance and efficiency.
• Safety Compliance and Maintenance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations when handling refrigerants and operating installation equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize hazards and facilitate efficient workflow.
  • Perform routine maintenance on DMS equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Familiarity with various HVAC materials, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a team environment.
• Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Work Environment: Warehouse environment (base for operations, equipment/material storage) and customer settings (attics, basements, small-confined spaces, rooftops).
• Physical Demands: Travel in a company-provided vehicle; regularly required to stand, bend, crawl, or kneel in confined spaces; lift up to 60 pounds; climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, and move up and down stairs safely.

Pay

$23 per hour + potential for additional $80 per week in incentives.

Schedule

Full-time, hourly position eligible for overtime plus performance incentives.
