DMS Systems (DMS) Engineer Staff - Level 4
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science degree
- Project Management experience
- Knowledge of overall C-130 air system, design, and processes including production and sustainment operations.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be the DMS Systems (DMS) Engineer Staff - Level 4 for the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) Team, which is responsible for mitigating obsolescence issues on the C-130J Program.
As the DMS Systems (DMS) Engineer Staff - Level 4, you will be responsible for performing DMS Management duties, analyzing Bill of Material (BOM) and inventory management data to identify potential impacts to the C-130J Program, and developing DMS business cases to identify cost-affordable mitigation solutions.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Performing DMS Management duties, including analysis of Bill of Material (BOM) and inventory management data.
- Developing DMS business cases to identify cost-affordable mitigation solutions for DMS events.
- Supporting proposal development efforts, including reviewing, interpreting, and writing proposals, SSOWs, and BOEs.
- Working on DMS redesign efforts to completion in support of Production, Sustainment, Kitting, and Spares needs.
- Building and maintaining routine relationships with C-130J Engineering leadership, system/subsystem engineering teams, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and analytical systems engineer with experience in DMS management, proposal development, and stakeholder relationships.
You will have a strong understanding of the C-130J Program and its requirements, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an Interim Secret clearance to start.

Desired Skills
- Engineering Experience in the Aerospace/Defense Industry
- Experience with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages (DMSMS) processes involving engineering integration of obsolescence management mitigations and/or redesign projects.
- Project Management Experience relevant to aircraft Production, Sustainment, or Development programs.
- Experience in Electrical Engineering or Components Engineering with emphasis upon Mission Systems Integration.
- Experience in working with Suppliers and/or Supply Chain engagement including usage of SAP for parts management analysis and financial tracking.
- Experience in Systems Engineering discipline with understanding of the total lifecycle (architecture, requirements, design, analysis, integration, verification, production and sustainment) including the following key competencies: Supplier Interface, Proposal Analysis, Risk and Opportunity Assessment.
- Understanding and strong appreciation for practicing and developing Standard Work processes and tools.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools emphasizing Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with written, verbal, and presentation communications skills, including briefing to members of upper management
