About the role

Established in 1987, Pacific Medical, Inc. is a distributor of durable medical equipment specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, prosthetics, and orthotics. We provide direct services to patients, medical networks, physician clinics, and offices, dedicated to enhancing patient care through excellent service and product technology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily inventory management and product stocking, ensuring the medical center has the necessary products available for treatment.
  • Communicate with clinical staff to receive proper documentation to create a billable episode of care.
  • Perform measurement and application of orthopedic soft good devices and such as CPM’s, knee orthoses, spinal bracing, ankle-foot orthotics, and other devices as necessary.
  • Screen calls and emails regarding patient status and reports potential problems to respective physicians and other care providers.
  • Act as a resource to nursing and therapy staff and provide in-service training as needed.
  • Work under the supervision of nursing and therapy to provide care and service to the patients and their families. Receive direction from the clinical staff for the delegation of tasks. Adhere to policies and procedures associated with patient care.
  • Appropriately communicate and legibly document all care provided to the patient, as well as reporting changes in patient condition in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with nurses and other team members to organize and prioritize functions necessary for patient care delivery.
  • Demonstrate competency for appropriate soft goods such as CPM per MD orders.
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative, prioritize, and demonstrate professional accountability.
  • Adhere to Medical Center policies/procedures and core values.
  • Work on a call rotation with the territory team to service the hospital on the weekends and after hours.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Driving 5-40% of the time for this position

Compensation

$42,000-$60,000 annually with an expense reimbursement for all eligible expenses associated with driving on behalf of the company.

  • Holidays: 10 paid holidays per year
  • Vacation Benefit: At completion of 3-month introductory period, vacation accrual up to an annual max of 40 hours in the first 23 months, at 24 months, accrual up to an annual max of 80 hours with a rollover balance.
  • Sick Benefit: Sick accrual begins upon date of hire up to a max annual accrual of 80 hours with a max usage of 48 hours annually with a rollover balance.
