DME Certified Respiratory Therapist

About the role

Coordinate respiratory care, develop programs, and manage positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy. Set up and monitor respiratory and PAP therapy equipment, educate patients on proper use, and ensure compliance. Communicate with physicians, serve as a resource on PAP therapy, and participate in process improvements. Travel to patient homes for equipment setup and monitoring, and be on-call to support patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate respiratory care and develop respiratory therapy programs

• Set up and monitor respiratory and PAP therapy equipment
• Educate patients on proper equipment use and ensure compliance
• Communicate with physicians and serve as a resource on PAP therapy
• Participate in process improvements
• Travel to patient homes for equipment setup and monitoring
• Provide on-call support for patient needs
• Maintain compliance with healthcare laws, safety, and privacy protocols

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Science or related field
• Graduate of an AMA-approved respiratory therapy program
• Current valid state license/certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PAP therapy
• Multilingual skills
