About the role
This is a highly responsible position within Detention Services. The incumbent is responsible for conducting detailed program reviews of allegations and systematic issues. The incumbent is required to travel and therefore must have a valid driver’s license. This position exercises independent judgment in the performance of the following:
Responsibilities
- Investigates, assesses, and analyzes information to resolve issues and problems presented by administrators in relation to Program Reviews. This includes researching applicable policies, reviewing video evidence, and interviewing complainants, witnesses, and subjects in order to reach findings.
- Documents in writing program reviews for Detention Services in accordance with established policies and procedures and within established timeframes. Reports contain information such as policies, witness statements, videos, and other documents gathered as evidence during the review.
- Provides training and consultation to facility staff in the area of incident reporting and investigative reviews.
- Attends all mandatory training associated with the tasks required of this position.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Ability to follow policies and procedures regarding p-card usage for travel purposes
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma
- A valid driver’s license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degree with a major in criminal justice or similar related field and two years of professional experience
- Knowledge of JJIS
- Two or more years of experience in the field of juvenile justice
- Instructor Techniques trained
- Right Interactions Instructor certified
- No prior discipline
