Primary Duties
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required activities.
- Oversee general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet integrity.
- Review and approve complex accounting entries and analyses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Ensure financial results are complete and properly recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and internal guidelines.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring documentation and compliance with audit requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting for business activities and alignment across departments.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the close process, improve accuracy, and increase efficiency.
- Monitor accounting trends, regulatory updates, and business changes to assess impacts on financial reporting processes.
Job Requirements
- Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance with direct experience in general ledger and financial close processes, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Certified Public Accountant preferred. Leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. Deep understanding of general ledger processes and financial close cycles. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team development capabilities. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
