Division Operations Lead, Maritime Engineering
About the role
We are looking for a Division Operations Lead to join our rapidly growing Maritime Division Operations team in Quincy, MA. In this role, you will specifically be responsible for supporting our cross-divisional Chief Engineering office. The Maritime Division Operations team is a small but mighty team of talented business generalists who enable the division to scale through hyper-growth while breaking as few things as possible.
Responsibilities
- Lead various strategic initiatives and special projects, as directed by the Division Chief Engineer and the Head of Division Operations, to establish scalable operations and forward progress across a portfolio of engineering initiatives
- You will act as the connective tissue — supporting design, development, and implementation of new processes, strategy, projects, and execution plans — across complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and often 'gray area' scope
- Cook up and prepare for leadership meetings, including setting agendas, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-through
- Support internal team operations like new employee onboarding, all hands, internal business reviews, and other events so that we rapidly ramp new employees and maintain a culture of 'doing things differently'
- Support our corporate planning cycle by helping to build out and monitor performance against goals, financial plans, and headcount plans so we can hit our aggressive growth targets
- Establish the operating model and battle rhythm for a rapidly growing the team with an emphasis on cross-division coordination and repeatable execution patterns
Requirements
- You have 3+ years of experience in a combination of engineering and business operations (typically in consulting, tech operations, finance, or general business analysis).
- You love solving complex, ambiguous, cross-functional problems in a people-centric way
- You’re both high ownership and low ego, approaching everything with strong outcome orientation and high humility
- You get energy from being a thought partner for others and it excites you to spend time translating operational problems into data problems, and to then go and execute on them
- You’re discerning and an incredibly fast learner
- You’re tactical and don’t only sit at a 30,000 foot level
Preferred Qualifications
- Typically 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience.
- Bridges solid, hands-on expertise in the field and can operate independently on a wide range of responsibilities.
Skills
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements

US Salary Range $146,000—$194,000 USD
