ITW Car Care is a division of Illinois Tool Works (ITW), specializing in automotive aftermarket products. The division offers a diverse portfolio of brands such as Rain-X, Black Magic and Gumout.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth & Financial Leadership: Drive continuous, above-market growth through strong financial leadership and insight-driven decision making; advise and guide leadership on financial implications of key business decisions across product, customer, promotion, and people strategies; partner on development and execution of annual and long-range strategic plans; leverage data, analytics, and market insights to influence business direction and performance
- Operational Excellence & Performance Improvement: Lead initiatives to achieve operational excellence, including process simplification and efficiency improvements; implement changes that reduce complexity and enhance financial outcomes; drive adoption of best practices aligned with enterprise business models; ensure strong forecasting, planning, and performance management discipline
- Talent & Organizational Development: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing and diverse finance team; establish a culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement; develop a strong pipeline of future leaders through coaching, succession planning, and talent development; foster an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration and engagement
Required Competencies
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to set direction, influence stakeholders, and lead cross-functional teams
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of market dynamics with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
- Financial Expertise: Advanced capability in financial planning, analysis, and data-driven decision making
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 12 years of demonstrated experience in financial reporting and analysis, cost reduction, inventory costing and control, operational accounting, and financial statement management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role with direct people leadership responsibility
- Demonstrated experience leading and working within successful cross-functional project teams
- Experience working in a manufacturing business as a plant controller preferred
- Proven track record of delivering business results and driving profitable growth
- Experience leveraging data, forecasting, and market trends to shape strategic plans
- Strong background as a strategic business partner influencing senior leadership decisions
- Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams, including talent development and succession planning
