Division Controller
About the role
This position is based out of our St Louis, MO Office.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of a specified division or business group.
- Production and analysis of financial reports.
- Maintenance of project accounting and SG&A expenses.
- Maintenance of a comprehensive set of controls to mitigate risk, enhance accuracy, and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulations.
- Manage and coordinate people, processes, and procedures, software, and other resources used to perform all accounting functions, in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives, and regulations.
- Implement necessary internal controls and ensure they are followed.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies and practices to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Afford banking and treasury functions, including forecasting short-term and long-term cash needs and managing debt.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish complete, accurate, and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Keep an eye on day-to-day cash flow and communicate with the appropriate internal business partners to adjust when needed.
- Support and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate and provide required information to external auditors for the annual audit where needed.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Coordinate the preparation of tax, business entity, and regulatory reporting (if required).
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Maintain confidentiality of information related to project pricing, employee compensation, Company acquisitions, and all other financial information deemed to be sensitive or proprietary.
- Accurately and confidentially maintain Company records and other sensitive business and client data and intellectual property.

- Day in the Life: Oversight of all accounting operations for an assigned business group, including billing, collections, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
