About the role
An academically affiliated hospital in Upstate New York is seeking a Division Chief of Neurology and additional staff neurologists to join its growing neurosciences program in strong collaboration with the affiliated university neurosurgery department. The partnership is focused on creating a rural “Neurosciences Center of Excellence” to serve the regional patient population.
Division Chief responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership in general and/or subspecialty neurology
- Collaborate with university neurosurgery to recruit additional neurologists in subspecialties such as neuromuscular electrodiagnostics (EMG/NCV), movement disorders, neuroimmunology, epilepsy, and pain
- 70% clinical effort (outpatient-focused or with some emergency coverage)
- 30% administrative effort

- Join two current full-time neurologists in a 100% outpatient practice
