About the role

Responsibilities

• Lead the Division of General Internal Medicine
• Oversee clinical services at multiple locations including the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Durham Outpatient Clinic, and others
• Manage educational programs for medical students
• Facilitate and promote research activities
• Develop and manage academic resources and plans
• Foster a culture of excellence and community engagement

Requirements

• M.D. degree (or equivalent)
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine
• Current rank of Associate Professor or Professor
• Experience in leadership and management in an academic setting
• Outstanding clinical and teaching skills
• Ability to foster research
• Commitment to service, excellence, and community engagement
