About the role
The Division Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Creighton University Medical Center will serve as a visionary leader to grow the Hematology/Oncology Division in all of its domains, including the establishment of a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and academic leadership in a high volume system with broad referral networks in partnership with Radiation Oncology, Pulmonary Medicine, our Breast Center of Excellence, Surgical Oncology and Orthopaedic Sarcoma programs.
- Initiate clinical research trials within the school of medicine, and assist in cancer center leadership.
- Work in an academic and teaching environment, educating Creighton University’s residents and medical students and conducting research in collaboration with scientists within CommonSpirit and Creighton University School of Medicine.
- Participate in CHI wide Tumor Boards.
- AI Assisted Cancer Screening.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine & Hematology Oncology
- Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska
- Strong clinical skills with experience in programmatic development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care
- Clinical and leadership experience and ideally academic activities commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine
Qualifications
- Board certified or eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Track record of scholarly and educational activities commensurate with the rank of Associate or full Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine
