Dive Medical Support Specialist

About the role

RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Dive Medical Support Specialist in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the clinic front-desk medical administrator
• Provide administrative, clerical, and customer service support as it relates to healthcare delivery systems and operations
• Assist in preparing for inspections and assessments
• Prepare, transmit, and maintain correspondence, messages, and reports
• Support screening and routine clinical operations
• Assist in managing, updating, and maintaining various logs, health records, and databases
• Schedule appointments
• Check in patients
• File notes and reports
• Process documentation
• Assist with referrals, appointments, and claims

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license
• Valid U.S. passport
• Ability to operate a personal computer with common business software; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others in English, both verbally and in writing
• Active Secret security clearance
• Ability to pass pre-employment and periodic drug screenings
• Certified by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or completion of a Medical Assistant Program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
• Ability to move equipment ranging from 10 to 20 pounds in weight
• Minimum of five years’ experience in medical administration
• Knowledge of standard clinic procedures, medical record accountability, medical terminology, computerized data entry, and information processing systems, such as Military Health Systems (MHS) Genesis and Medical Readiness Reporting System (MRRS)
• Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) certified
