About the role
Full-time position operating a 120-horsepower tractor equipped with a side-boom mower to maintain ditch berms and ditches. Works Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., based at the Main Garage.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 120-horsepower tractor equipped with a side-boom mower
- Frequently mount and dismount equipment to pick up or remove debris and other materials along ditch berms and within ditches
- Recognize, assess, and avoid hazardous situations
- Perform routine daily equipment fueling, lubrication, inspections, and basic maintenance
- Review, prioritize, and complete the daily work assignment throughout the workday
- Report significant events, problems, equipment issues, and maintenance needs to the immediate supervisor in a timely manner
- Assist other crew members with various work assignments and perform other duties as assigned
- Operate equipment safely and consistently follow all applicable safety rules, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
- One to three years of experience performing semi-skilled labor, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position
- 18 years of age
- Valid Ohio Driver's License
- Safe driving record
Skills
- Experience operating a tractor equipped with a side-boom mower is preferred but not required
Pay
$28.00 per hour
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
