About the Role
This position supports students across the district with intensive needs, working under the direction of classroom teachers to assist in the implementation of instructional curriculum and IEP goals.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Title 1 Schools require Highly Qualified Status, which includes one of the following:
- Associate's Degree
- Equivalent of two years of college
- Bachelor's degree
- Paraeducator II certification from the NH Dept of Education
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementation of IEP goals and objectives pertaining to educational needs, social-emotional development, behavioral development, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills to foster independence
- Assist with physical and minimal health needs of children, which may include lifting, feeding, toileting/diapering, and personal hygiene
- Help prepare and administer testing
- Provide input to teachers, guidance counselors, and school administration regarding student performance
Pay
$19.94 - $27.27 per hour, with placement based on relative prior experience.
