Salary Grade: $27.56 per hour

About the Role

Perform the classroom duties of an absent teacher under the direction of the building administration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute a course of study as prepared by the classroom teacher or building administrator.
• Manage the classroom to ensure curriculum guidelines and requirements are fulfilled.
• Lecture, demonstrate, and use appropriate teaching aids to present subject matter to students.
• Prepare, administer, and/or correct assignments and tests.
• Record grades, attendance, and academic achievement.
• Assist as directed by the building administration (including clerical, cafeteria, bus duty, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have completed a minimum of 36 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited, academic degree-granting, college or university or complete 20 hours of online training via Frontline Education.
• Must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
• Must hold a Valid Content Substitute Certificate at the time of hire.
• Must pass the pre-employment background investigation.
