District Sales Manager, Central Midwest
About the role
Middleby Residential is a collection of premier international consumer brands dedicated to manufacturing and distributing many of the best-known and loved kitchen appliances and interior furnishings in the world. The District Sales Manager will lead sales efforts for Middleby Residential brands in the Central Midwest region (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska & Oklahoma), driving brand awareness, channel revenue, profitability, and growth targets across all assigned regional accounts.
Working under the Director of Sales, Central Region, you will partner with sales leaders, including Brand Developers and Channel Leaders, to ensure optimal sales performance aligned with overall brand and distribution strategies. This role focuses on enhancing and expanding account presence while driving both in-store and online success.
Responsibilities
- Act as a long-term visionary to grow current account business and identify emerging opportunities, increasing market share, sales revenue, and profit margins at all dealers.
- Identify and achieve channel sales targets through execution of selling strategies.
- Own sales performance metrics, including customer dashboards, operational metrics, and revenue generation.
- Actively manage all dealer channels within the territory on behalf of the entire Middleby Residential portfolio.
- Travel onsite to visit, train, and manage accounts (typically 4+ days in the field with up to one home office administrative day per week).
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and deliver success of the brands sold through national accounts.
- Engage with the Director of E-Commerce to elevate digital acumen across assigned accounts through continuous education and creation of playbooks.
- Work with Marketing to maximize exposure and growth opportunities inside accounts.
- Liaise with Brand Developers to ensure adequate and proactive trainings on all brands within accounts.
- Collaborate with the Builder Sales Team to explore potential builder opportunities within the territory.
- Leverage Specialty Sales Channel managers to maximize Château business and specifier opportunities.
- Act as the primary contact for product information, sales programming, training, and general sales management for all accounts within the territory.
- Identify, secure, and complete display opportunities within the territory.
- Interface with key customer relationships to ensure strong and growing partnerships.
- Evaluate market trends on both regional and brand bases and communicate findings to sales and brand leadership.
- Continually report on market happenings, opportunities, and challenges, communicating activity and progress to the sales manager.
- Analyze data and sales platforms for assigned accounts to identify key opportunities to improve customer experience and drive conversion rates.
- Along with the VP of Sales, lead contract negotiations, onboarding, and measurement of new customer partnerships for online sales where applicable.
- Responsible for the promotional calendar and strategy for UMRP pricing and monitoring within assigned accounts.
- Prospect potential new accounts to carry Middleby Residential brands.
- Manage dealer account activation and utilization of the MidRes Dealer Portal.
- Conduct live trainings and product demos as opportunities allow.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Minimum 5 years of sales management experience.
- Account management, strategic planning, and business development experience desired.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience setting and managing sales targets and forecasts.
- Demonstrated high level of sense of urgency, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
