About the role
This District Sales Manager will manage a team of outside salespeople across the Blue Ridge region—from Chattanooga, TN to Hiawassee, GA. A combination of at least 4 years of foodservice sales and sales leadership experience is highly preferred. Experience as a Territory Manager, District Manager, or Area Sales Manager leading a group of B2B sales representatives is preferred. This requires a proven ability to open new business, build strong relationships with restaurant accounts, and coach a sales team to success. Experience in street sales within the foodservice industry or a foodservice-adjacent industry where restaurants are the primary end customer is required.
Responsibilities
- Supervise associates including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
- Develop and educate sales staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies by conducting monthly sales meetings.
- Attain targeted sales as determined by business goals.
- Operate department and assigned personnel within budgetary guidelines.
- Demonstrate awareness of customer needs and establish policies and practices to effectively meet those needs.
- Develop interpersonal relationships that encourage openness, candor, and trust, both internally and externally.
- Provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public, customers, vendors, and coworkers.
- Participate in industry organization monthly meetings.
- Develop and present major account presentations.
- Formulate and analyze information on competition.
- Attend industry shows and events.
- Interact with customers and vendors in a friendly, timely, and quality manner; ensure customer and vendor questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage customer complaints, issues, and emergencies.
- Establish and monitor major account prospect lists.
- Process customer rebates and incentives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4–6 years of foodservice sales and team lead or supervisory experience
- Valid driver’s license

$110,000–$125,000
