About the role
The District Sales Manager leads, directs, and develops a group of assigned Account Developers in selling company products and executing marketing plans to meet revenue goals. This position fosters key customer relationships, participates in strategic planning, and ensures safety, quality, volume, and revenue targets are achieved. The role also includes overall accountability for leading the merchandising team.
Responsibilities
- Teaches, trains, coaches, and develops Account Developers on processes and procedures to maximize sales and profitability through Red rides, market visits, goal setting, and action plan tracking.
- Sets sales goals, timelines, and target lists for Account Developers and tracks results to ensure timely execution of Speed to Market Initiatives.
- Manages the execution of all sales programs and initiatives to maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to grow market share, space, and productivity in accounts while maintaining customer service.
- Develops and presents sales plans to internal and external customers.
- Sets district goals aligned with territory objectives using scorecards and key indicator activities.
- Inspects market conditions through market visits and scheduled Red rides.
- Develops reports using Red ride documentation, Tableau, Margin Minder, HANA, and Webi to inform upper management of district activities and trends.
- Leads and motivates a team by communicating company goals, deadlines, and engaging teammates through performance management, coaching, and training.
- Implements continuous improvement methods and embodies company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership.
- Ensures a safe working environment by training teammates on safe working techniques, including safety blitzes, evaluations, and annual testing.
- Establishes and follows self-development activities with a capabilities manager and attends classroom and online learning.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid in-state Driver’s License with an excellent driving history.
- Knowledge of CCCI Sales, Warehouse, and Delivery operations, along with advanced selling skills.
- Good planning techniques and organizational skills.
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships while leading, teaching, coaching, and executing the commercial plan.
Qualifications
- Prior leadership and management experience is a plus.
- Knowledge acquired through 3 to 5 years of work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Work environment varies and may include exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and customer storage areas that may be non-temperature controlled.
