District Safety Officer 2026-2027 Full Time

About the Role

Riverview Gardens School District (RGSD) is seeking a dedicated Safety and Security Officer to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for our scholars, educators, and staff. Reporting directly to the Director of Safety and Security, this role plays a vital part in maintaining the well-being of our school community.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the safety and security of students, personnel, and property.
• Work closely with students and school administrators to support a safe environment.
• Establish good working relationships with Building Administrators, co-workers, custodians, and faculty.
• Be familiar with the facilities to execute assigned duties professionally and promptly.
• Participate in the arrival and dismissal process of students and assist with school functions as needed.
• Continuously upgrade professional skills by attending workshops, seminars, and staff meetings scheduled by the Director of Safety and Security.
• Submit Field Reports to the Director of Safety and Security and Building Administrator when warranted.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Experience in the security industry preferred.
• Ability and personality to work effectively with students, colleagues, teachers, and other staff.
• Successful completion of a background check by Human Resources.

Year: 12 Month
