District Operations Manager - Flooring
About the Role
We are looking for someone who will thrive in a fast-paced construction/project management role. The selected individual will serve as the primary point of contact for our company in the assigned district, interacting with PSG leadership, support staff, installation crews, customers, and business partners. This position requires meeting company goals and objectives through high-level oversight and involvement, with strong communication skills essential for addressing daily issues. Exceptional customer satisfaction is our primary objective, and the role involves ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, objectives, and strategic initiatives. The candidate will evaluate current and proposed systems and processes, implementing changes as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of oversight of the assigned district.
- Establish effective communication with local support staff, regional contacts, corporate employees, and all other PSG management staff to drive results and resolve issues.
- Review all job site visits and exception reports from field support staff.
- Coordinate and outline quarterly installer meetings.
- Regularly evaluate the installer base and performance through jobsite visits as well as C&P and LTR data.
- Train and develop subordinates' skills while encouraging growth and providing regular performance feedback.
- Hire new staff, including posting ads, interviewing, onboarding, and training.
- Oversee field service support staff with customer and project issues.
- Resolve scheduling issues through indirect reports at the corporate office in a timely manner.
- Engage in constant recruiting and provide HR with new contractor documents, including background checks and labor rates.
- Ensure installers follow PSG guidelines while on all jobsites.
- Maintain an "open door" policy for all subordinates and company employees.
- Provide daily direction as needed to support and field staff.
- Oversee all direct reports' activities and performance.
- Manage strategic planning, budgetary concerns, policy development, employee relations, and customer service activities.
- Ensure prompt completion of installation and projects in the assigned district for customer service.
- Measure customers' homes as needed.
- Maintain warehouse operations at our local Anchorage Warehouse location.
- Ensure all PSG services result in a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Visit assigned area business partners regularly to maintain and improve partnerships.
- Evaluate daily processes and implement positive changes that increase sales, reduce overhead, and/or improve customer service.
- Monitor and maintain installer craftsmanship, professionalism, and customer likelihood to recommend our services.
- Quickly investigate and implement solutions for all negative customer experiences.
- Provide management expertise in planning and organization, integrating changes smoothly, and prioritizing work activities.
- Plan for additional resources, set regular goals and objectives, and use time efficiently.
- Provide a weekly overview to company leadership.
- Identify problems in a timely manner, resolve them in early stages, and develop alternative solutions.
- Gather and analyze information skillfully and work well with others in group problem-solving situations.
- Read and respond to all emails, voicemails, or concerns throughout the day and follow up on any items from the previous day.
- Provide a Weekly Report by EOD Friday to Company Leadership on District status.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and/or attend all required meetings.
- Follow all company policies as written in the Company Employee Handbook.

- Follow all processes and procedures and perform all responsibilities in accordance with company expectations.
- Receive and respond to constructive direction and guidance from Management.
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years of management or supervisory experience.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in either construction or construction management.
- College graduate or equivalent educational level is preferred.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and must have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to operate smartphones, mobile apps, and multiple computer software applications.
