About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Stores, the District Manager is responsible for driving results and overseeing the operations of stores within the South Central region. This role works closely with and develops a team of managers in a high-growth, fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. While supervising, motivating, and inspiring a team, this position supports a fast-growing business by providing clear communication, innovative ideas, and embodying an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and People Management
    • Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences.
    • Establish a vision for stores based on key metrics and initiatives and cascade it to all team members.
    • Build a strong and diverse team with various experiences, backgrounds, and skillsets.
    • Manage the store’s hiring process, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding, with a focus on IDEB (inclusion, diversity, equity, and belonging).
    • Support ongoing learning and development through feedback, coaching, mentoring, and career path guidance.
    • Engage in career discussions to reinforce how working at Psycho Bunny contributes to personal and professional growth.
    • Provide team member recognition, gap assessment, and performance documentation.
    • Plan and prepare team member schedules according to labor requirements, availability, and budget.
    • Address employee relations issues, partnering with HR when necessary.
  • Working with Others
    • Establish supportive and productive relationships with all team members, focusing on personal and professional development.
    • Collaborate with in-store team members to ensure an optimal guest experience.
    • Assist with duties as required by the store manager.
    • Work collaboratively with all Psycho Bunny team members to achieve goals.
  • Guest Experience
    • Support team members to ensure a great guest experience, including assessing guest needs and providing product education.
    • Move dynamically on the floor to assess and fulfill business, team, and guest needs.
    • Address emergent issues, including guest escalations and emergency requests.
    • Build a loyal customer base through engagement, conversion, and capturing customer contact information.
    • Analyze customer profiles, buying trends, and competitive information to drive business.
  • Operations
    • Manage the store’s profit and loss (P&L) in accordance with sales and budget goals.
    • Plan and execute high-level quarterly and annual strategy and budget planning.
    • Assist with recruitment, training, development, and succession of high-performing team members.
    • Plan floor coverage to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
    • Perform work per applicable policies, procedures, and laws.
    • Maintain product knowledge and ensure team members can communicate it to customers.
    • Control payroll and create service-driven schedules to balance profitability and customer service.
    • Manage and monitor loss prevention.
    • Achieve or exceed inventory and shrink goals; oversee physical inventory.
    • Oversee execution and processing of incoming and outgoing merchandise (transfers).
    • Communicate merchandise opportunities to the store manager.
    • Ensure execution and maintenance of all visual directives and store presentation standards.
  • Budget Responsibility
    • Accountable for controllable budget, labor hours, and annual sales plan targets.
  • People Management
    • Directly responsible for all store employees, including delegation of some management aspects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in retail management.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in multi-store or district management.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
  • Must reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area.
