About the role
The District Manager is a senior-level manager that proactively leads a Field Sales team in sales strategies to drive revenue and customer satisfaction to meet organizational objectives. This role will create strategies to drive sales, expand market share, and ensure customer satisfaction within a geographic area to meet operational goals including annual sales, margin targets, and operating income.
Responsibilities
- Routinely participate in sales calls with the Field Sales team member to supplement selling efforts.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and Sales leadership to develop and manage sales forecasting and targets for the geography and field sales team members.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers with the geography and collaborate with sales representatives to address any needs or issues of key accounts.
- Conduct market analysis to understand local trends, competition, and customer behavior, using insights to adopt sales strategies and approaches to drive sales.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and Sales leadership to optimize geographic assignments for Field Sales team members to maximize sales opportunities and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular sales team meetings to review performance and best practices, share updates, and communicate organizational strategies.
- Serve as an escalation contact for the Field Sales team to help resolve customer issues or concerns.
- Oversee the use of the customer relationship management (CRM) system by Field Sales team to manage customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management.
- Monitor Field Sales team members’ selling techniques and customer interactions to evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback on techniques, strategies, and tactics.
- Monitor geographical expense reporting to ensure adherence to budgets and company travel and expense policies.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 8-10 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 3-5 years of management experience.
