About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing and developing a team of associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards.
Responsibilities
30% Brand: Supervise and support associates in achieving exceptional customer experiences, maximizing sales and driving customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.
30% People: Engage, train, and develop the team to achieve positive results. Recruit and hire associates, identify strengths and opportunities, and coach or counsel team members. Maintain positive relationships with associates and communicate effectively with the Store Manager.
30% Operations: Ensure compliance with company processes, manage inventory, schedule employees, and follow through on company directives and projects. Manage payroll hours and ensure store opening/closing procedures are correct.
10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure a safe store environment, enforce policies, and protect company assets. Analyze and utilize available reporting and tools to maintain compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience
Ability to lead or support a team of associates
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
