About the role
As an integral member of the Burger King Company Operations team, the District Manager oversees five to six restaurants and is directly responsible for the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement. This position leads a restaurant management team in meeting operational and organizational objectives while adhering to brand standards. You will work closely with the corporate office to provide support and feedback for improving all aspects of the business, including Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Technology.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a restaurant management team to maintain high guest satisfaction through safe, clean, and high-quality restaurant operations.
- Create operational plans to support company initiatives and achieve operational excellence while adhering to brand standards.
- Review and respond to guest feedback to address concerns and maintain a strong local community presence.
- Build a high-performing team through proactive recruitment, hiring, and compliance with training programs.
- Oversee all people-related decisions, including performance assessments, coaching plans, and development of restaurant managers.
- Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments using existing tools and new methods of employee and restaurant recognition.
- Manage restaurant profitability by improving sales, maintaining accurate cash counts, controlling costs, and executing plans to enhance food cost and labor efficiency.
- Conduct restaurant audits to identify opportunities for improvement and provide coaching to store management to achieve business goals.
- Ensure adherence to wage and hour guidelines for all restaurant employees, with special attention to minors.
- Support corporate initiatives through restaurant pilots and feedback programs to optimize brand standards and performance.
- Conduct weekly meetings with Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) to review results, communicate changes, and drive improvements.
Requirements
- Strong business leadership with the ability to drive specific behaviors by leading by example.
- Proven coaching and training experience.
- Ability to manage the overall operations and profitability of multiple stores.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and scheduling skills.
- Experience managing P&L and demonstrated time management skills to meet objectives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 4-5 years of restaurant management or multi-unit experience.
- Flexible schedule and ability to travel regularly to assigned restaurants.
- Excellent follow-up and communication skills.
