About the role
As the District Field Trainer for KONE Americas in the Great Plains Region, you will lead and coordinate installation methods and process training. This role involves providing structured feedback to Installation Innovation & Enablement leadership on required improvements, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring field crews deliver projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with procedures, codes, and quality standards. You will resolve complex technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level field training and guidance to support the rollout of development projects, initiatives, and critical strategies, strengthening field capabilities across the organization.
- Ensure field crews deliver installation and modernization projects safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with procedures, codes, and quality standards.
- Resolve complex technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.
- Offer structured feedback to Installation Innovation & Enablement leadership on required improvements.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with multiple teams within the company.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive and successful industry experience with a background in management, coaching, and training.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of elevator-escalator industry experience plus additional experience in frontline operations management or IUEC field foreman installation experience.
- Working knowledge of safety, environmental regulations, and general financial/accounting principles.
- Strong leadership, change sponsorship, coaching, and team-building capabilities.
- Effective communication with strong presentation, persuasion, and technical interpretation skills.
- Proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, projects, and resources to achieve outcomes.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 75% or more, domestic and occasionally international).
- Frontline labor operations management or IUEC field foreman/installation experience preferred.

Pay
Annual Base Pay Range:
- Kansas City: $126,600 – $166,215
- Omaha: $120,300 – $157,920
- Minneapolis: $135,500 – $177,870
- Quad Cities: $120,300 – $157,920
The compensation package will depend on the candidate’s ability to meet the role requirements, business strategy needs, and factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
Variable Compensation: KONE Annual Bonus plan at 15% Target Incentive (60/40) based on achievement of company and individual goals.
Schedule
This role requires extensive travel, up to 75% or more, including domestic and occasional international travel.
Location
Great Plains region: Kansas City, St. Louis, Omaha, Minneapolis, Quad Cities.
