Job Summary

Sorenson is seeking a customer service-oriented District Field Manager to advocate for Sorenson products and support installations and service calls for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.

About the Role

This role involves overseeing and supporting installations of Sorenson products for new customers, servicing existing customers, and ensuring area goals are met. The DFM also focuses on retaining customers and educating them about Sorenson’s products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Hire and train a team of competent trainers
  • Ensure team members complete assigned work and adhere to Sorenson policies and procedures
  • Oversee inventory requests for field teams and reconcile with HQ/warehouse
  • Use Microsoft Dynamics for required processes, including reporting, ticketing, and workload tracking
  • Hold frequent conference calls and 1:1 meetings with team members
  • Manage and motivate team to achieve goals using reports
  • Maintain and approve timesheets
  • Improve endpoint adoption
  • Attend regional and corporate trainings
  • Provide competitive information and customer demonstrations, trainings, and workshops
  • Organize, manage, and attend community events to find new customers and build relationships
  • Coordinate sales efforts to win back customers who have ported away from Sorenson
  • Teach customers about Sorenson’s services and assist with reactivating customers
  • Provide timely and accurate progress reports to Director of Field Operations and headquarters management team
  • Complete other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Highest level of fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Knowledge of VRS equipment, network infrastructure, high-speed internet, modems, routers, and experience installing VRS equipment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work from a home-based office in a fast-paced and competitive environment
  • Highly organized and disciplined, capable of multitasking and maintaining productivity without oversight
  • Working knowledge of basic computer functions, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Excellent communication skills, including written English
  • Trustworthy with proprietary company information, keeping such information in strict confidence
  • Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal communication skills, and ability to work across company departments

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred 4-year Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience as a Sorenson field employee or trainer
  • Previous management experience preferred
