District Computer Technician - 2027-36

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot desktop computer hardware and software
• Communicate with vendors to obtain computer hardware and software pricing and information as required by district personnel
• Coordinate vendor warranty services including scheduling service calls and component replacement
• Troubleshoot basic networking problems
• Provide inservice to district personnel
• Other duties as assigned by site administrator

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle
• Must be able to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or the same amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are for heavy work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills
• CompTIA A+ certification
• Demonstrate knowledge of computer hardware and software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting on Windows client platforms
• Demonstrate knowledge of desk-top Windows and TCP/IP networking hardware and software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
