Distribution Unit Supervisor

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Schedule and oversee warehouse team and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
• Maintain an efficient work rate.
• Maintain the equipment and facilities at the distribution unit.
• Trains and supervises distribution unit employees.
• Practices good house-keeping and organization throughout the work area.
• Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job.

Requirements

• Prior experience with supervising employees preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work with employees and management.
• Ability to read and write, use a tape measure, and operate a calculator.
• Work weekends and holidays when necessary.

Physical Demands

• Wear safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, protective gloves, when necessary.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds; ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, crouch, kneel, and push and pull.
• Firm grasping using both hands.
• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with the physical and environmental aspects typically associated with such environment.
