Distribution Technician (7:30A-4:00P)

Distribution Technician role based at University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

About the role

This is an entry-level position. Staff will receive training in various areas of the department. The role involves heavy manual labor, including receiving, storage, distribution, and inventory control of equipment and supplies, as well as data entry computer work.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy manual labor related to receiving, storage, distribution, and inventory control of equipment and supplies.
• Conduct data entry tasks using computer programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to input data into computer programs.
• Ability to flex work schedule to cover weekend shifts as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Good customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Six to twelve months of experience working in a healthcare facility (preferred).
• Familiarity with hospital supplies and equipment (preferred).
• Experience working with materials management computer programs (preferred).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• 25 words per minute (wpm) keyboarding skills.

Schedule

• Full-time position.
• Work schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
• Hours per week: 40.
