About the Role

This full-time Warehouse/Order Picking/Distribution Technician position is on B shift and located at the Salinas Distribution Center in Salinas, CA. The role reports to the Order Selection Team Manager.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship all customer orders in a timely (measured through Labor Management System - LMS) and accurate manner while operating material handling equipment (transporter, forklift, etc.).
• Perform general warehouse duties including loading, inbound receiving, returns, organizing, put-away, replenishment, wrapping, push-offs, and order selection.
• Ensure accurate input and provide customers with specific documentation and special services as needed.
• Fill "shorted" orders, perform co-label order selection, export order selection, and assist with inventory.
• Perform assignments in one or more of the following activity groups: Order Selection, Replenishment, Inbound, Outbound, Returns, Organizer, Repack/Hazmat.
• Operate transporter, stand-up, reach, or sit-down fork truck.
• Complete all paperwork and system transactions in accordance with standard departmental operating procedures, including pick lists, labels, tagging, and customer-required placards.
• Identify and communicate issues to shift Crew Leader, Warehouse, or Order Selection Team Manager.
• Attend shift/team meetings and recommend general process improvements.
• Perform general duties including sanitation and battery changing.
• Work in an environment subject to temperature extremes and occasional overtime on short notice.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a forklift license via McCormick.
• Ability to work in an environment with exposure to spice dust and odors, noise, and vibration.
• Ability to work in an environment subject to temperature extremes.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a continual basis and 25-50 pounds on a frequent basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience using radio frequency terminal.
• Basic computer skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $24.62 per hour.
