Responsibilities
- Install and connect control systems, power distribution systems, electrical switchgear, including components such as switchboards, panels, load centers, motor control centers, breakers, transformers, and disconnect switches.
- Use multi-meters for measuring voltage, amperage, resistance, and more.
- Connect branch circuits, feeders, and controls, including terminations, panels, and equipment.
- Diagnose, repair, and resolve problems with circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments, schematics, and diagrams.
- Ensure all work complies with codes and safety regulations.
- Generate complete materials lists for assigned scopes of work.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems. Test circuit continuity for compatibility and safety.
- Maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Assist other employees as needed.
- Inspect jobs upon completion for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
- Maintain good working relationships with team.
- Observe safe work practices and follow safety procedures.
- Aid in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Implement safety procedures and precautions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least four years in the electrical trade.
- Current state Electrical Journeyman license.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical theory, NEC and local codes.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Advanced knowledge of hand tools, testing equipment, and other commonly used trade equipment.
- Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostics ability.
- Embrace quality control processes.
- Good attention to detail.
- Follow process and procedure.
- Current OSHA 10 certification.
- Current Elevated Work Platform certification preferred.
- Current Lock Out/Tag Out Training certification preferred.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Current NFPA 70E Arc Flash Training certification preferred.
