Distribution Supervisor (First Shift)

About the role

The Distribution Supervisor - Second Shift is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and developing their team of associates (20+) for fast-paced daily distribution operations. This position reports to the Operations Manager and is part of the Distribution Center located in Hebron, KY.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with other Supervisors to build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work volume forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering to balance labor across the facility.
• Communicate policies to associates reinforcing adherence of the team to consistent compliance, taking corrective action when required.
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a Lean environment.
• Perform root cause analysis to facilitate problem-solving and process improvement/lean initiatives to facilitate logical solutions.
• Manage and provide performance feedback and development opportunities to direct reports (26 temp & FT) including monthly 1-on-1 meetings with associates.

Requirements

• High School Diploma with 8+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience, OR Masters with 3+ years experience
• 2.5+ years experience leading a team of 10+ associates in a warehouse environment with the ability to motivate and develop associates
• Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Oracle and intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Leverage Lean/Six Sigma experience in a Continuous Improvement Environment
• Proven ability to make decisions, collaborate and thrive in an ambiguous environment with minimal support at times

Schedule

The expected work hours for this role are approximately 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM.
