Distribution Shipping Clerk

Responsibilities

• Inventory control
• Shipping/receiving of products and materials
• Scheduling transportation for outbound shipments
• Parts packing
• Distribution of materials to production departments
• Variety of other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One to three years of shipping/receiving or related experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
• Preferred Manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of industrial batteries and chargers

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents
• Mathematical skills to calculate percentages and ratios; solve simple algebraic formulas
• Reasoning ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Skills

• Hazmat certification
• Good organization/administrative and time management skills
• Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• High energy, self-motivated, ability to be successful without direct instruction

Benefits

• Much of the work involves loading and unloading trailers
• May involve boosting of product (using a torch to burn connectors on batteries)
• May involve managing and counting inventory on the floor (pallets) for proper min/max ordering for restock
