Distribution Shift Supervisor-2nd Shift

Duties And Responsibilities

• Actively manage daily loading and receiving of product.
• Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) and other proscribed procedures are followed.
• Absorb responsibilities of Distribution Manager in their absence.
• Assist Manager in controlling labor cost through effective planning, scheduling and on-the-job training.
• Maintain accurate and complete departmental records.
• Monitor productivity standards by analyzing metrics surrounding key performance indicators.
• Recommend/implement ways to improve performance.
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sanitation tasks to ensure the sanitation schedule is followed.
• Supervise distribution team, hold regularly scheduled team meetings and assist with timely performance reviews to ensure efficiency and productivity of team.
• Maintain an organized, efficient and sanitary warehouse and loading dock area to exceed PJFS quality standards.
• Perform duties of Distribution Manager in their absence.
• Maintain compliance with PJFS Safety, Sanitation and HACCP policies & procedures, federal, state and local regulations (OSHA, FDA, DOL) and all Papa John’s International, Inc., policies & procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About the role

The Distribution Shift Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Distribution Manager in the management of operations through the effective utilization of distribution team members and equipment. This position will supervise and direct team members in the Manager’s absence. The shift/hours will be Sunday - Thursday, 12pm until finish. This position is located in Louisville, Kentucky.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred. Must have strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and excellent communication skills. Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.

Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
