Distribution Service Representative Lead

About the Role

The Distribution Service Representative Lead ensures adequate staff coverage for the pickup and delivery of specimens and supplies, develops schedules for designated areas, assists with time and attendance for employees, and compiles monthly statistics for the logistics department. This role also performs the essential functions of a Distribution Service Representative or Distribution Services Representative Floater as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop or modify work plans and schedules to provide adequate staff coverage.
• Ensure prompt and accurate pickup and delivery of specimens, supplies, and other transportation activities as required by company and customer needs.
• Direct day-to-day transportation functions to ensure accurate and timely completion of work.
• Maintain an accurate log of specimens, reports, and supplies picked up or dropped off on assigned routes.
• Assist with time and attendance entry for employees and maintain required records and documentation.
• Assist with the compilation of monthly statistics and data for the logistics department.
• Communicate pertinent information or issues to supervisors or managers for resolution.
• Record clients' requests for supplies and special services, and forward them to the appropriate person or department.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Promote a harmonious and cooperative working environment through effective communication with coworkers and clients.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and flexibility in satisfying customer demands.
• Contribute to a positive work climate and team effort within the department and company.
• Answer telephones in a friendly and professional manner, incorporating company name, self-identification, and a helpful statement.
• Ensure facilities are neat, clean, and in good repair.
• Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and preparing mail.
• Adhere to departmental and company grooming and dress codes.
• Perform the essential functions of a Distribution Service Representative or Distribution Service Representative Floater as needed.
• Complete special assignments as required by coordinators or local supervisors.
• Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with industry best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect sensitive data, including protected health information.
• Familiarize and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program and all corporate policies, including Privacy and Security policies.
