About the Role

Supports and is responsible for incorporating the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy into job performance, while adhering to the FH Compliance Program, including all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior. The Distribution/Receiving Tech ensures all supplies and equipment are handled according to departmental policy for timely delivery without compromise. This position provides support for assigned departments using computerized receiving, inventory, replenishment, and distribution systems. Responsibilities include receiving and delivering medical and surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, procedure trays, and code cart medication trays to/from the distribution center, pharmacy, and patient care areas. Basic housekeeping duties are also required.

Responsibilities

  • Handle supplies and equipment in accordance with departmental policies to ensure timely and safe delivery.
  • Utilize computerized systems for receiving, inventory, replenishment, and distribution.
  • Receive and deliver medical and surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, procedure trays, and code cart medication trays.
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in Supply Chain distribution and customer service preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, positive communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively.

Physical Demands

  • Medium Work – Lifting up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis (less than one lift every three minutes) and/or carrying up to 25 pounds while walking.
  • Pushing or pulling up to 75 pounds infrequently or up to 115 pounds occasionally (no more than once per hour).

Ergonomic Risk Factors

  • Repetition: Repeating the same motion frequently may place stress on muscles and tendons. Risk severity depends on frequency, speed, force, and muscles involved.
  • Awkward Posture: Includes repeated or prolonged reaching, twisting, bending, kneeling, squatting, working overhead, or holding fixed positions.

Working Conditions

Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Risk: Category C – No exposure to blood or body fluids.

Pay

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. The hourly pay range for this non-exempt position is $17.51 - $22.66. Shift differential and/or overtime may apply if applicable. Part-time positions will have salary pro-rated based on scheduled hours.

Schedule

Full-time with all shifts available, including weekends.
