About the role
Supports the operations of the distribution center and reports to the Receiving lead and Ops Manager. Responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and material, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock.
Responsibilities
- Manually unstacks floor loaded shipping containers and palletize boxes according to TI/HI playbook.
- Uses NetSuite hand scanners for inventory receiving, movement, and shipping.
- Secures product by using shrink wrap or wrap machine.
- Prepares and completes orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.
- Affords inventory control by properly making palletized products, performing inventory counts, and notifying management of damaged product.
- Operates forklift safely by observing all safety rules, utilizing horns, and maintaining proper speeds.
- Ensures that all partial items are combined, counted, and properly marked.
- Completes all paperwork correctly and in full.
- Completes daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
- Works in a warehouse setting and is physically demanding. Ability to lift, push, and pull 20+ lbs. repetitively; also bend, squat, and twist through the duration of the shift.
- Maintains a clean work environment.
- Fulfills OSHA requirements for a safe work environment.
- Follows ACCP’s procedures and all regulatory policies.
- Teaming to ensure cross-functional training and efficient operations.
- Uses Systems Thinking and displays an understanding of how one’s own work affects other functions or groups.
- Completes equipment training for forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or Equivalent.
- 1-2 years warehouse experience.
- Forklifting experience preferred.
- Comprehensive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and productivity goals.
Work Environment
Warehouse Environment – working with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory
Physical Demands – Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work
Must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment
