DISTRIBUTION PLANNER / JUNIOR CONSULTANT
About the role
This entry-level position sits within the Operations Strategic Business Unit and reports to an Account Manager. The role focuses on planning and tracking routes using market-leading planning and route adherence software, updating KPIs, producing reports, and assisting with strategic optimization initiatives such as fleet mix, service day, master route optimization, and network modelling.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimally plan the system through daily feedback, new customer locations, and NDD updates.
- Produce daily reports on actual route information and forward shift reports to the consultant and contract manager.
- Generate monthly KPI reports and scorecards for review with the consultant, SCP contract manager, and customers in workshops.
- Identify ongoing cost-saving opportunities and liaise with the consultant and SCP contract manager.
- Review and monitor fleet KPIs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Monitor vehicle reporting daily.
- Provide ad hoc consulting support for strategic optimization initiatives.

Requirements
- Three years of experience in the distribution industry, or a degree in Engineering or Logistics.
- Exposure to and intermediate understanding of Microsoft and relevant programs.
