Overview

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring all daily functions, including shipping and receiving, are performed accurately and in a timely manner at our transfer station locations.
  • Performs tracking and tracing for several purposes, including customers that are concerned about their operations shutting down. Must monitor open orders at the transfer stations to ensure all orders have shipped on time.
  • Aids co-packers and stations in securing carriers for outbound shipments.
  • Communicates with carriers regarding any changes that are made to appointments for pickup or delivery.
  • Main point of contact for distribution-related issues for CSRs, carriers, other refineries and NRO’s.
  • Works closely with the Central Planning team and Distribution teams regarding any capacity concerns at the refineries or stations, then look to move orders as appropriate.
  • Responsible for communications with the transfer stations with regards to their appointments for both customer shipments and STO receipts, while also addressing any carrier issues that are site specific.
  • Direct customer interaction to confirm orders in advance.
  • Identify and propose opportunities for operational improvements. This will include driving the process of getting all stations to perform their transactions in the SAP portal, which will eliminate all of the manual postings performed by this role.
  • Supports the DFI Supply Chain Organization in the achievement of business performance metrics, financial objectives and operational efficiency goals.
  • Responsible for managing daily inventory transactions, posting Goods Receipts and Goods Issued; to include EDI reconciliations.
  • Supports the S&OP process by managing the 13 week and 18 month supply plan for industrial and specialty lines.
  • Accountable for inventory balances and reconciling any discrepancies at stations.
  • Manages month-end and year-end inventories for all transfer stations.
  • Collaborates with Sales and CSRs on order fulfillment.
  • Backup the other Distribution Planner when out.

Work Experiences

  • Minimum of two years of logistics, supply chain, or related work experience or relevant 4 year degree
  • Experience with SAP a plus
  • Detail oriented
  • Following through is a must
