Distribution Operations Intern
About the role
As a Distribution Operations Intern you will play an active role in the operation of a fast‑paced multi‑million‑dollar distribution center. For 12 weeks during the summer you will join the Distribution Operations team at one of our US distribution centers, receiving on‑the‑job training, project management experience, and ongoing mentorship from leadership. You will learn from and shadow distribution leaders, gain exposure to the full lifecycle of the distribution model, participate in process‑improvement initiatives, collaborate with business partners and leaders, advise specific functions within the distribution center, and manage and lead a process‑improvement project that culminates in a final presentation to the US executive leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Rotate through all functions of the distribution center, including warehouse operations, transportation, restaurant services/customer service/field service, inventory, and human resources.
- Function as lead person on specific projects.
- Actively participate in internship program training activities, developmental opportunities, and events.
- Gain understanding of all business areas to develop business acumen.
- Timely completion of business‑specific projects and tasks.
- Other projects or duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).
