About the Role

The Distribution Center Manager will oversee warehouse workers and ensure daily shipping goals are met while maintaining a safe work environment. This role involves developing direct reports to achieve desired results, ensuring proper orientation, training, development, compensation, and working conditions. The Distribution Center Manager partners with the Plant Leadership Team (PLT) to build the distribution team, foster cultural alignment, and drive problem identification and solving.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shipping efficiencies and backorders.
  • Oversee pricing of freight, leases, shipping materials, and supplies.
  • Coordinate and schedule deliveries to meet and exceed customer expectations while optimizing loads and minimizing work hours.
  • Review paperwork to plan work activities, schedule personnel, and balance loads.
  • Ensure safety of personnel and compliance with health and safety regulations, including OSHA.
  • Provide a safe and productive work environment, including housekeeping.
  • Role model CITE and Working in Teams principles.
  • Oversee the delivery of products to dealers, contractors, and jobsites within the region.
  • Reflect the company’s business values and philosophy in all interactions.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience as a Warehouse/DC Manager in an industrial environment.
  • Experience managing data in WMS/ERP systems; Oracle ERP highly preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong management and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent working knowledge of safety practices and regulations, including OSHA compliance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, and the public.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business reports.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations to production teams, plant-level teams, or public groups.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle abstract and concrete variables.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
