Distribution Forklift OPR PR12 1st Shift Waverly NE

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment. Forklift experience must be documented in the application.

Pay

$19.10 per hour plus a $2.50 per hour attendance bonus. Second shift receives a $2 shift differential.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, occasional weekend work
• 1st Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm or upon completion of assigned work
• 2nd Shift: 4:30 pm – 1:00 am or upon completion of assigned work

About the role

This position is responsible for loading and unloading supply trucks, tracking and storing material inventories, and rotating throughout the day to the box line as needed.

Responsibilities

• Unload, stack, and/or store and track inventories of supplies
• Empty trash from box room daily
• Load cardboard recycling truck with boxes and combos
• Operate a forklift (license required)
• Stack boxes on pallets by product code
• Maintain a clean work area
• Perform all other duties assigned by leader

Requirements

• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to carry out essential duties and responsibilities efficiently and safely
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
• Able to lift continuously up to 50 lbs while stacking pallets
• Must be able to communicate effectively, read labels, order summaries, and use a radio
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
• Six months of documented forklift experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Six months of production experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Stand/Walk: Continuously up to 8 hours
• Lift/Carry: Frequently (up to 50 lbs.)
• Push/Pull: Frequently (up to 50 lbs.)
• Bend/Stoop/Squat: Frequently
• Continuously working around moving machinery
• Working in a damp, slippery, and cold environment (below 40°F)
