Distribution Engineer

About the role

The Distribution Engineer reports to the Manager of Engineering and is responsible for the daily operations of the Engineering Department, which includes assisting with the operation, construction and maintenance of GDE’s electrical system. The Engineer inspects, inventories, prepares construction work orders and maintains records required for the transmission and distribution of electric power.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in electrical systems preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Pay

The normal work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with a 60-minute lunch period or GDE’s 9-80 schedule, 9-hour days with one day off during a two-week payroll period with a 30-minute lunch.
